charming hostel in the center of Puerto Pollensa
Pension Bellavista was first conceived as the annex of the already legendary Hotel Bellavista. Founded in 1931 it was one of the first hotels in puerto Pollensa when this was still a fishing village.
From family tradition and lead by the untireable Grannie Joana, this hotel was the hollyday home for uncountable tourists from around the World, many of them returned year after year due to the good atmosphere that there was.
Today this endearing atmosphere has been regained by Joana's granchildren in Pension Bellavista.
Active travelers they've been in hostals from around the Planet taking ideas from here and there to place them in what we hope to be more than an Inn. Our motto is “time is art” and here we want you to relax. Relax with art!

OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Bellavista we try to be responsible and in line with what we believe in.
We think that a better world is possible if we all collaborated a little. That is why we defend sustainability, the "plant-based" diet, and animal rights (human and non-human). We love our island and nature in general.
As small daily acts we can say that:
We use vegan and biodegradable detergents, the toilet paper is eco-friendly, we have solar panels, we separate and recycle garbage (organic garbage is composted), we offer water to our guests so they don't have to buy thousands of plastic bottles and can reuse their container, we allocate part of our profits to NGOs that defend nature and people, here are some organizations with which we collaborate: Medgardens, Arrels Marines, WWF, Greenpeace, FAADA, Anima Naturalis, Proyecto hombre, Red Cross, Unicef, Amnesty International...
We also have our own NGOs:
One of the two owners of the hostel is the founder of an organization called: Dentists on wheels, very active in promoting oral health among the most vulnerable population. Please visit the website: www.dentistassobreruedas.es
The other owner is co-founder of Cat Protection Pollensa, a local association dedicated to the care of stray cats and the ethical control of the feline colonies in the municipality. Our website: www.catprotectionpollensa.com

The hostel is home to rescued cats and dogs, but many more animals are also cared for and fed thanks to the profits generated by this small family business.
